Equality Diversity and Inclusion 2015

Welcome back! It's that time of year again for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion activities and we are looking forward to lots of new and exciting ways to celebrate.

Here are just some of the events taking place:

First of all we are holding a screening of the film 'Girl Rising' on Monday 2nd march between 1:15-3:15pm to coincide with International Womens day on Sunday 8th March. Girl Rising tells the story of nine young girls from around the world who face child slavery, arranged marriages and other injustices. But by getting an education and learning they realise that they can overcome these obstacles themselves. All students and staff are welcome to attend. The showing will be held in the Sports Hall at Tameside College and at the same time in Hyde Clarendons Sports Hall.

We will also be filming a special welcome message to go onto our new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion site where you can find out everything about what Equality, Diversity and Inclusion means and also what the College does to encourage it. This message will be in sign language and done by one of our very own students who is fluent. Look out for it here.
